Caerffili is a small town located in southwestern Wales, approximately 7.5 miles northwest of Cardiff. It is known for its historic castle, Caerphilly Castle, which was built in the 13th century and is one of the largest medieval castles in Europe. The town has a population of approximately 30,000 people and is predominantly Welsh-speaking. The local economy is primarily based on agriculture, tourism, and manufacturing. Caerffili is also home to a number of schools, including Coleg y Cymoedd, one of the largest further education institutions in South Wales.
