What is cetaceo?

Cetaceans are a group of marine mammals that includes whales, dolphins, and porpoises. These animals are highly adapted to living in the water and have streamlined bodies, flippers or flukes for propulsion, and can hold their breath for long periods of time.

There are two main types of cetaceans: baleen whales and toothed whales. Baleen whales are filter feeders that strain food from the water using baleen plates in their mouths. Toothed whales, on the other hand, have teeth and hunt for prey such as fish, squid, and crustaceans.

Many species of cetaceans are threatened or endangered, primarily due to habitat loss, hunting, and fishing practices. Conservation efforts are underway to protect these animals and their habitats.
