What is charka?

Chakra refers to the concept in Hindu and Buddhist belief systems that there are seven energy centers in the human body that correspond to different parts of the body and emotions. The seven chakras are the root chakra, the sacral chakra, the solar plexus chakra, the heart chakra, the throat chakra, the third eye chakra, and the crown chakra. Each chakra is associated with a certain color, element, and sound, and balancing the chakras is believed to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Chakra healing practices include meditation, yoga, aromatherapy, and crystal healing.
