What is charkas?

The chakras are energy centers located within the subtle body along the spine from the base to the crown of the head. Yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda practices aim to balance and activate the chakras to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual health. The chakras are associated with specific colors, locations, and governing elements, and each chakra is linked to physical and emotional aspects of the body. There are typically seven major chakras, including the root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and crown chakra. Balancing the chakras involves practices such as yoga poses, pranayama breathing exercises, meditation, chanting, and visualization.
