What is dinosaure?

Dinosaurs were a diverse group of reptiles that lived on Earth for around 165 million years, from the Triassic period (approximately 231 million years ago) to the end of the Cretaceous period (approximately 66 million years ago). They were some of the largest land animals to ever exist and came in a variety of shapes and sizes.

Dinosaurs were divided into two main groups: Saurischia (lizard-hipped dinosaurs) and Ornithischia (bird-hipped dinosaurs). Some well-known dinosaur species include the Tyrannosaurus rex, Velociraptor, Triceratops, and Brachiosaurus.

Dinosaurs were not able to fly but some species evolved into birds, which are considered modern-day dinosaurs. The study of dinosaurs, known as paleontology, provides valuable insights into the Earth's ancient history and the evolution of life on our planet.
