What is eur.1?

EUR.1 is a form issued by the European Union (EU) that is used to certify that goods being exported from the EU to certain countries meet the rules of origin requirements and therefore qualify for certain preferential tariffs. The form must be completed by the exporter of the goods and certified by the customs authorities of the exporting country. It is predominantly used for trade between the EU and countries with which it has a preferential trade agreement, such as Canada, Japan, and South Korea. The purpose of EUR.1 is to encourage trade between the EU and these partner countries by reducing the costs of importing and exporting goods.
