What is firmwire?

Firmware is a type of software that is stored on a hardware device, such as a computer chipset, microcontroller, or other electronic device. It provides low-level control over the electronics in the device and may be stored in non-volatile memory, such as ROM, EPROM, or flash memory. Firmware can be updated by the user or by the manufacturer to fix bugs or add new features to the device. It is sometimes called "embedded software" because it is tightly integrated with the device's hardware and is necessary for the proper functioning of the device. Some common examples of firmware include the BIOS on a computer motherboard or the operating system on a smartphone.
