What is flebogamma?

Flebogamma is a type of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) medication that is used to treat various immune system disorders. It is made from plasma collected from healthy donors and contains a concentrated mixture of antibodies that help to boost the immune system's ability to fight off infections and diseases.

Flebogamma is used to treat conditions such as primary immunodeficiency disorders, autoimmune disorders, and certain neurological disorders. It is administered through a vein by a healthcare professional and typically takes a few hours to complete.

Like all IVIG products, Flebogamma may cause side effects in some patients, including headache, fever, and mild nausea. In rare cases, more serious side effects such as blood clots, kidney damage, and severe allergic reactions may occur.

Patients should inform their healthcare provider of any medications they are taking and any medical conditions they have, as certain medications and conditions may interact with Flebogamma or increase the risk of side effects.
