What is frx?

FRx is a financial reporting software solution that was formerly developed by Microsoft. It was designed to help companies generate timely and accurate financial reports for both internal and external use. FRx was often used to prepare statutory financial statements, management reports, and other financial reports required by regulators, investors, and other stakeholders.

FRx was part of the Microsoft Dynamics suite of products and it was compatible with various ERP systems, including Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics SL, and other enterprise solutions. The software provided powerful reporting capabilities, such as customizable report templates, drill-down capabilities, and multiple report formats.

In 2010, Microsoft discontinued FRx and replaced it with Microsoft Management Reporter, which is a new and improved financial reporting tool that is integrated into Microsoft Dynamics ERP systems. Despite being discontinued, some organizations may still be using FRx as it is still functional and can be supported by third-party maintenance and support services.
