Garib Nawaz is a title given to Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, a 12th century Sufi saint who founded the Chishti order of Sufism in India. He is also known as Gharib Nawaz, meaning "the helper of the poor" and is highly revered by both Muslims and Hindus. His shrine is located in Ajmer, Rajasthan and is visited by millions of people from all over the world every year. It is believed that he had the power to heal the sick and grant wishes to his devotees.
