What is golum?

I assume you mean Gollum, a character from J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

Gollum, originally known as Sméagol, was a hobbit-like creature who possessed the One Ring, a powerful and corrupting artifact created by the dark lord Sauron. The Ring prolonged Gollum's life well beyond its natural span, but also drove him to madness and obsession with the Ring.
