What is hubbas?

Hubbas are skateboarding obstacles that are usually made up of a long, narrow ledge with a drop at the end. They are commonly found in skateparks and street spots and are used for performing tricks such as grinds and slides.

Hubbas come in different sizes and materials, but they are typically around 4 to 10 feet in length, raised around 1 to 2 feet off the ground, and made of materials such as concrete, metal, or wood.

Hubbas were originally inspired by the ledge of an auditorium or a church, and over time became a popular fixture of skateboarding culture, especially during the '90s and early 2000s.

Skateboarders will attempt various tricks on hubbas, including tail slides, boardslides, lipslides, and nose slides. The obstacle encourages a high level of creativity because of the variety of tricks that can be performed on it.

Hubbas require a good amount of balance, skill, and risk-taking ability, making it a favorite among experienced skateboarders.
