What is inkonel?

Inconel is a family of nickel-chromium-based alloys that are highly resistant to corrosion and high temperatures. The name “Inconel” is a trademark of the Special Metals Corporation, which has developed and produced the alloys since the 1940s. Inconel alloys are commonly used in aerospace, automotive, chemical, and nuclear industries, as well as in applications where high strength and resistance to heat, oxidation, and corrosion are required. Some common alloys in the Inconel family are Inconel 600, Inconel 625, and Inconel 718. These alloys are used in a range of products such as aircraft engine components, gas turbine blades, heat exchangers, and chemical processing equipment. In addition to its excellent high-temperature properties, Inconel is also known for its resistance to acids, alkalines, and saltwater. Consequently, it is often used in marine and offshore platforms, seawater cooling systems, and desalination plants.
