Jamalzadeh is Sadeq Hedayat's literary nom de plume. He was a Persian writer who lived from 1892 to 1990, born in Isfahan, Iran. He was one of the leading authors of literary art during the early 20th century in Iran. He was known for his literary works including novels, poems, and short stories. His most famous work, “The Naked Kings”, depicts the disillusionment of Iranian society in the early 20th century. Jamalzadeh was also a prominent political activist and played a significant role in the modernization of Iran. In 1954, he was elected to the Iranian parliament, where he served as a member until 1959. He also served as the Minister of Culture and Art under the Shah's government. Jamalzadeh's influence on Persian literature has been considerable and lasting. He remains one of the most important literary figures in the country's history.
