Kenitra is a coastal city in northern Morocco, located approximately 40 kilometers northwest of the capital city of Rabat. It is situated on the Sebou River, just at its estuary with the Atlantic Ocean, and has a population of over 431,282 people. Kenitra is home to a bustling port, which handles cargo exports, and is also a major industrial center, with the presence of several textile, food processing, and chemical factories. In addition to its commercial importance, Kenitra has a rich architectural heritage, with landmarks such as the Mohammed V Mosque and the Mausoleum of Mohamed Ben Abdellah. The city is also known for its historic medina (old town) and its traditional souks (markets), which sell handicrafts, spices, and local products. Kenitra is also a popular destination for tourists and visitors, thanks to its stunning beaches, such as Mehdia Beach, which is a popular surfing spot.
