Krypto is a fictional superhero dog created by DC Comics. He first appeared in Adventure Comics #210 in March 1955. Krypto is the pet dog of Superman, and he possesses powers similar to his owner, such as super strength, speed, hearing, and the ability to fly. In some versions of the story, Krypto was sent to Earth by Superman's father, Jor-El, to protect and watch over his son.
