What is lithromantic?

Lithromantic, also known as akoiromantic, is a term used to describe a romantic orientation where an individual experiences romantic attraction but does not have the desire for those feelings to be reciprocated or acted upon. People who identify as lithromantic may enjoy the feeling of being in love or having a crush, but they do not necessarily wish to have their feelings returned or to engage in a romantic relationship. This can mean they're more comfortable with the platonic aspect of the relationship or they may lose interest if their romantic feelings are reciprocated. Being lithromantic is part of the broader aromantic spectrum, which encompasses various types of romantic orientations. As with any identity, experiences can vary widely among individuals who identify as lithromantic.
