What is mamatits?

"Mastitis" (not mamatits) is a painful inflammation of the breast tissue, usually caused by a bacterial infection. It commonly affects women who are breastfeeding due to milk build-up and blocked milk ducts, but it can also occur in women who are not breastfeeding. Symptoms include breast pain, swelling, redness, and warmth, and flu-like symptoms such as fever and fatigue. Treatment involves antibiotics, pain relief, and continued breastfeeding or pumping to remove milk from the affected breast. In rare cases, surgery may be needed to drain an abscess or remove damaged tissue. Consult a doctor if you experience symptoms of mastitis.
