What is mando-bass?

Mando-bass is a string instrument that is similar in appearance to a mandolin but larger in size and produces a deeper sound. It is usually tuned in the same way as a guitar, but with four strings instead of six. Like a mandolin, it is played with a plectrum or pick, and can be used in a variety of musical genres, including bluegrass, folk, and Americana. It is a relatively rare instrument and is not as well-known as other stringed instruments such as the guitar or violin.
