What is masalas?

Masalas are a blend of spices commonly used in South Asian cuisine, particularly in Indian cooking. These blends can contain a variety of spices, such as turmeric, cumin, coriander, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves, among others. Masalas are often used to flavor curries, dals, and other dishes, and can be adjusted to suit individual tastes. They can be purchased pre-made, or can be made at home using a variety of spices and herbs. Some popular masalas include garam masala, tikka masala, and curry powder.
