Memucan (Hebrew: מְמוּכָן) was a Persian official and advisor to King Ahasuerus (Xerxes I) during the 5th century BCE. He is mentioned in the biblical Book of Esther as one of the seven princes of Persia and Media. According to the Talmud, he was the son of Heman and a member of the Sanhedrin. Memucan is credited with having contributed to the writing of the edict to depose Queen Vashti and to initiate the search for a new queen, which ultimately led to the ascension of Esther. Some scholars suggest that Memucan may have been the same person as Haman, the villain of the Book of Esther, due to similarities in their names and positions in the Persian court, although this theory is disputed.
