What is nanotank?

A nanotank is a small-sized aquarium that ranges from 2 to 20 gallons in size. It is specifically designed for keeping small aquatic plants and invertebrates such as shrimp and snails. Due to its small size, nanotanks are relatively easier to maintain than larger aquariums and consume less electricity. They require regular water changes and water parameter adjustments to maintain a healthy environment for the aquatic inhabitants. Some hobbyists also utilize advanced filtration systems and CO2 injection methods to cultivate plants and maintain optimal water quality. Nanotanks are popular in the aquascaping enthusiast community, where hobbyists create aesthetically pleasing underwater landscapes using natural elements like rocks, wood, and live aquatic plants.
