What is pecem?

Pecem is a small municipality located in the state of Ceará in northeastern Brazil. It has a population of approximately 60,000 people and covers an area of 112 square kilometers. Pecem is known for its seaport, the Port of Pecem, which is one of the most modern and important ports in Brazil. The port facilities cover an area of 13.2 square kilometers and have a handling capacity of up to 80 million tons of cargo per year. The main exports from the port include sugar, steel, and cement. Pecem is also home to a large industrial park, including the Pecem Steel Complex, which is one of the largest steel plants in the country. The municipality has a warm and dry climate, with average temperatures ranging from 24°C to 30°C.
