What is pictbridge?

PictBridge is a standard that allows direct printing from digital cameras to printers without the need for a computer. It was developed by a consortium of companies including Canon, Olympus, Sony, and others in 2003.

PictBridge-enabled devices have a USB port that allows them to connect directly to a printer with a compatible PictBridge connection. This eliminates the need to transfer images to a computer first before printing.

Users can select photos from their camera's memory card and make selections directly on the camera's LCD screen. Photos can then be printed in various sizes and formats directly from the camera.

PictBridge has become a widely adopted standard in the digital imaging industry, allowing for easy and convenient printing of photos without the need for a computer. It is compatible with a wide range of printers and digital cameras on the market.
