What is quimbayas?

Quimbayas were an indigenous culture that lived in what is now Colombia from around 1000 to 1500 AD. They were known for their incredible gold work and are sometimes referred to as "the goldsmiths of Colombia." They had a complex social structure and were organized into many different chiefdoms. They were skilled farmers and grew crops like maize, cotton, and beans. The Quimbayas were also known for their pottery and ceramics, which were often decorated with intricate designs. Today, their legacy is celebrated in Colombia through museums and through the continued use of their traditional crafts.
