What is shabnama?

Shabnama is a Persian book of astrology and divination, written in the 14th century by an Iranian astrologer and scholar, Mahmud ibn Ali al-Kashani. It contains 365 omens, one for each night of the year, and provides guidance on various aspects of life, including health, wealth, marriage, and travel, based on the position of celestial bodies and their effect on human fate. Shabnama is also known as the Book of the Night. The book has been translated into several languages, and is still consulted by astrologers and believers in the Middle East.
