What is shoats?

Shoats are young pigs that are typically between 4 and 8 months old. At this age, they are usually weaned from their mother's milk and have started to eat solid food. Shoats are considered to be in a stage of growth and are not yet fully matured adult pigs. They are often kept on small farms or homesteads for meat production or as pets. Shoats can be kept on a diet of grains, hay, and other plant-based foods, and they require access to clean water to thrive. They are also susceptible to various diseases and require proper care and attention to maintain their health.
