What is srirama?

Srirama is another name for Lord Rama, a revered deity in the Hindu religion. He is considered to be the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu and is worshipped as the ideal man and a symbol of righteousness and truth. He is believed to have lived during the Treta Yuga, which is a period millions of years ago, according to Hindu mythology.

The story of Srirama is told in the Hindu epic, Ramayana, which is one of the most important literary works in Hinduism. It is the story of Srirama's journey as a prince, his marriage to Sita, and his exile to the forest for 14 years, where he defeated Ravana, the demon king of Lanka, to rescue Sita.

The festival of Ram Navami is celebrated every year to commemorate Srirama's birthday, which falls on the ninth day of the Hindu month of Chaitra (usually in March or April). The celebration involves fasting, prayer, and recitation of the Ramayana. The worship of Srirama is also widespread in Southeast Asia, particularly in Thailand and Indonesia, where he is known as Phra Ram and Rama, respectively.
