What is tacc?

TACC (Texas Advanced Computing Center) is one of the leading academic supercomputing centers in the world, with a mission to enable discoveries that advance science and society through the application of advanced computing technologies. It is based at the University of Texas at Austin and provides cutting-edge computing resources and expertise to researchers across a wide range of disciplines, including life sciences, engineering, physics, and social sciences. TACC operates several supercomputer systems, including Frontera, which is one of the fastest supercomputers in the world and is capable of performing 23.5 quadrillion calculations per second.
