What is tasbeeh?

Tasbeeh, also spelled Tasbih, is a form of dhikr, the practice of repeating phrases or praises of Allah in Islam. It is a type of prayer bead that Muslims use to keep track of the number of times they have recited certain phrases.

The most common phrase recited on a tasbeeh is "SubhanAllah," which means "Glory be to Allah." Other phrases that may be recited include "Alhamdulillah" (praise be to Allah) and "Allahu Akbar" (Allah is the Greatest).

Tasbeeh beads usually consist of 33 or 99 beads, with each bead representing one repetition of the chosen phrase. Muslims use tasbeeh beads to help them focus during their prayers and to keep track of their recitations.

Tasbeeh is considered a form of worship and is believed to bring spiritual benefits to the person performing it. It is often done as a way to seek forgiveness, show gratitude, or seek blessings from Allah.
