What is tigrina?

Tigrina, also known as the oncilla, is a small wild cat native to South America. It has a slender body with short legs and a relatively long tail. Tigrinas have a yellowish-brown fur with dark spots and stripes, which helps them blend in with their forest habitat. They are mostly solitary animals that are active at night and feed on small prey such as rodents, birds, and lizards. Tigrinas are endangered due to habitat loss, fragmentation, and hunting for their fur. They are listed as Near Threatened by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
