What is topilutamide?

Topilutamide is a non-steroidal antiandrogen drug used in the treatment of prostate cancer. It works by blocking the action of androgens (male sex hormones) on cancer cells, which can slow down or stop the growth of the cancer. Topilutamide is usually administered orally in the form of tablets. It may be used alone or in combination with other treatments, such as surgery or radiation therapy. The drug is still in the developmental stage and its safety and efficacy have not been established yet. Clinical trials are ongoing to determine its effectiveness in treating advanced prostate cancer.
