UEFA, the Union of European Football Associations, is the administrative body for football in Europe. It is one of the six continental confederations of FIFA, the international governing body of football.
UEFA was founded in 1954 in Basel, Switzerland and currently has 55 member associations. It is responsible for organizing and regulating European club and national team competitions, including the prestigious UEFA Champions League and UEFA European Championship (Euro).
UEFA's headquarters is located in Nyon, Switzerland. The organization is also responsible for promoting and developing football at all levels in Europe, as well as implementing various initiatives to grow the game and ensure its integrity and fairness.
