What is ytdlp?

Ytdlp is a command-line program for downloading YouTube videos and extracting audio and other metadata. It is a fork of the popular youtube-dl project, with additional features and bug fixes. Ytdlp supports a wide range of output formats, including MP4, WebM, and MP3, and can download videos in resolutions up to 4K. It also supports downloading entire playlists and channels, and can archive videos with associated metadata in a portable JSON format. Ytdlp is open-source and available for use on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
