Mauro Germán Camoranesi Serra is a retired Argentine-Italian footballer. He was born on 4 October 1976 in Tandil, Argentina. He played as a right midfielder and is known for his exceptional playing skills in the midfield. Camoranesi played for several clubs throughout his career, including Banfield, Cruz Azul, Verona, Juventus, and Lanús.
He is best known for his successful stint with Juventus, where he became an integral part of the team between 2002 and 2010. During his eight-year-long stint with Juventus, he won four Serie A titles, one Supercoppa Italiana, and the UEFA Champions League.
Camoranesi was also an important player for the Italian national team, and he played for them from 2003 to 2010. He was a part of the 2006 World Cup winning Italian team, famously playing a major role in their semi-final victory over Germany, where he scored the decisive goal.
After retiring from professional football, Camoranesi has tried his hand in coaching and is currently the head coach of Ciudad de la Plata in Argentina.
