What is gyromax?

Gyromax is a patented technology used in regulating the frequency of oscillation in mechanical watches. It was developed by Patek Philippe in the 1940s, and is now widely used by several luxury watch brands including Jaeger-LeCoultre and Vacheron Constantin.

Gyromax features a balance wheel with weights on the edge of the rim that can be adjusted to fine tune accuracy. This system replaces the traditional method of adjusting the balance spring, resulting in higher accuracy and stability.

The name "Gyromax" comes from the Greek words gyro, meaning "turn" or "rotate," and max, meaning "maximum." The technology has become a hallmark of high-end watchmaking and is highly sought after by collectors and watch enthusiasts.
