What is kabru?

Kabru is a mountain peak located in the Himalayas in India. It has two peaks, Kabru North and Kabru South, with an elevation of 7,412 meters and 7,338 meters respectively. It is part of the Kangchenjunga massif and lies in the Indian state of Sikkim. Kabru is considered as one of the most challenging peaks to climb in the Himalayas due to its steep and technical terrain. The first ascent of Kabru North was achieved by a British expedition led by Charles Evans in 1962, while Kabru South was first climbed by a French expedition in 1955.
