What is maracan?

Maracanã, also known as Estádio Jornalista Mário Filho, is a football stadium located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was opened in June 1950 and has a seating capacity of approximately 78,838 spectators, making it the largest stadium in Brazil and one of the largest in South America.

The stadium is home to two of Rio de Janeiro's most popular football clubs, Flamengo and Fluminense. It has also hosted numerous international sporting events, including the 1950 FIFA World Cup and the 2016 Summer Olympics.

In addition to football matches, Maracanã has also hosted concerts and other cultural events, including performances by major artists such as Madonna, The Rolling Stones, and Bruce Springsteen.
