What is modisa?

Modisa is a non-profit organization based in Botswana which was founded by His Excellency the President of Botswana, Lieutenant General Dr. Seretse Khama Ian Khama in 2011. The organization is dedicated to the conservation of wildlife, including endangered species, and the preservation of biodiversity in Botswana and the surrounding region.

Modisa also operates the Khama Rhino Sanctuary, which is located in Serowe, Botswana, and is home to a number of white and black rhinos, as well as other animals such as zebra, giraffe, and various species of antelope. The sanctuary offers visitors the opportunity to view these incredible animals in their natural habitat through guided tours and other activities.

In addition to its focus on wildlife conservation, Modisa also supports community development initiatives in Botswana, including education and health programs, and works to promote sustainable tourism in the region. The organization operates with the support of volunteers and funding from donors, and aims to make a positive impact on both the environment and local communities.
