What is mopar?

Mopar is the parts, service & customer care organization within Stellantis.

  • History: Initially, "Mopar" was a portmanteau of "MOtor" and "PARts" and was trademarked by the Chrysler Corporation (now Stellantis) in 1937. It began as a brand of antifreeze but expanded to encompass all Chrysler parts. Over time, "Mopar" evolved into a broader brand representing the corporation's entire parts, service, and customer care division.
  • Scope: Mopar is responsible for the distribution of parts and accessories for all Stellantis brands, including Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and Fiat (in some markets).
  • Performance Parts: Mopar is well-known for its high-performance parts and accessories, particularly for Dodge and Plymouth vehicles. These parts are often sought after by enthusiasts looking to upgrade or restore their vehicles. The performance parts are sold under brands such as Direct Connection
  • Service and Customer Care: Mopar also handles service contracts, extended warranties, and customer support for Stellantis vehicles.
