What is ynw?

YNW, also known as Young Nigga World, is an American hip hop collective from Gifford, Florida. The group was formed by childhood friends YNW Melly and YNW Bortlen. YNW Melly, whose real name is Jamell Demons, gained popularity with his hit songs "Murder on My Mind" and "Mixed Personalities" featuring Kanye West.

In 2017, YNW Melly and YNW Bortlen released their debut project as a duo titled "Collect Call EP." The group's music often focuses on themes of street life, struggles, and personal experiences. YNW Melly has faced legal issues, including being arrested for charges related to a double murder case.
